Care
Caring for Your Keepsake Coin
Your coin was created to hold meaning long after the moment it was given. With a little care, it can remain a beautiful keepsake for years to come.
Handle Gently
Hold your coin with clean, dry hands and avoid unnecessary contact with the surface to help prevent fingerprints, scratches, and wear.
Clean With Care
Use only a soft, dry microfiber cloth when cleaning. Avoid scrubbing, abrasive materials, polishing compounds, alcohol, or harsh household cleaners.
Keep It Dry
Protect your coin from prolonged exposure to water, moisture, and high humidity. If it becomes wet, gently dry it as soon as possible.
Protect the Finish
Avoid scratching, scraping, or picking at the protective surface. Dropping the coin onto hard surfaces may damage the finish or edges.
Avoid Excessive Heat
Do not leave your coin in hot vehicles, direct sunlight, or near strong heat sources for extended periods.
Store It Safely
When your coin is not being carried or displayed, store it somewhere cool and dry. A protective pouch, keepsake box, or display stand can help protect it from dust and accidental damage.
A little care goes a long way in preserving a keepsake made to be held onto.
FAQ
How large is the coin?
Our personalized coins measure approximately 40 mm, or 1.57 inches, in diameter.
What protects the design?
The printed artwork is finished beneath a clear protective resin dome, adding depth and shine while helping protect the design underneath.
Can both sides of the coin be customized?
Yes. The front and back can feature different artwork, allowing room for photos, names, dates, milestones, messages, and other meaningful details.
Can photos be used on a coin?
Yes. Photo designs allow a favorite image to become part of the finished keepsake.
Can I display the coin instead of carrying it?
Absolutely. A clear display stand is available with eligible coin designs.
Will every coin look exactly identical?
Because each coin is individually finished, tiny natural variations may occur. This is part of the handmade finishing process.
Is the coin suitable for everyday carrying?
Yes, although it is still a keepsake. Keeping it separate from keys, loose change, and other hard objects will help preserve its finish.
